The October Space to Heal cleanse group recently experienced cravings arise in many different ways! We lulled our food bodies to settle our nervous systems. We ate knowing our bile follows the sun - we had substantial lunches and early light dinners to provide intermittent fasting for cleansing and repair overnight.
The Ayurvedic cleanse recognises the GI tract as a main channel of the body and clears the way for intuition to get a hearsay in what we choose to eat and do. It's a double plus because the way of eating that heals our lethargy, discomfort and multitude of ailments, also provides us with the clarity of knowing what to choose that supports our health every day. In Ayurveda we call this process Dri Dru Smriti where we learn and understand something is good for us, we experience it as our own knowledge and then we remember to do it again because we get wise!

Contrary to popular belief the Ayurvedic categories of V P K are best viewed as a categorising system rather than tools that we can use everyday to make health decisions. Yes, I've said this quite a few times in the last month!! I really want you to meet the Doshas as a way of categorising things, then avoid using the Doshas to decide what's good for you - they can lead you astray and get confusing. You wouldn't think so in the beginning as they seem simple but then you can hit a wall!
